ELC Circles

# Five circles. Every two _weeks_ .

An **ELC circle** is a small, facilitated peer group of engineering leaders that meets every two weeks for a full year. Members bring a live problem from their own org, the group works it, and nobody is selling anything. 5 circles run inside the Engineering Leaders Community, the 3,200+ strong community of CTOs, VPs of Engineering, engineering managers and tech leads across Prague, Brno, Bratislava and Kraków.

A circle is not a course and not a webinar. There is no curriculum to sit through and no recording to catch up on. The value is the same handful of peers meeting often enough to remember your context, which is why every seat runs for a year rather than a term.

## Pick the circle that fits the _seat_ .

### AI Masters

Who it is for

Engineering leaders putting AI into their orgs for real, not in a slide deck.

What a session looks like

One member brings what they shipped or abandoned this fortnight, from agent tooling to review workflows, and the group pulls it apart.

What you leave with

A shorter list of things worth trying, and a much shorter list of things other people already proved do not work.

### Product Builders

Who it is for

Engineering leaders who sit closest to product and carry the argument between roadmap and reality.

What a session looks like

Live cases on scoping, discovery and the trade rounds with product counterparts, worked with people who hold the same seat elsewhere.

What you leave with

Language for the conversation you keep losing, and a sense of where your team is genuinely behind rather than just noisy.

### First-Time Boost

Who it is for

People in their first leadership role, usually months in, still deciding what the job even is.

What a session looks like

The questions that feel too basic to ask internally: delegation, one-to-ones, the first hard conversation, keeping any technical depth at all.

What you leave with

The reassurance that the confusion is normal, and a way through it that somebody in the room already walked.

### Experienced Leaders

Who it is for

Directors and above, running managers rather than engineers.

What a session looks like

Org design, budget, succession, and the political work nobody puts in a job description, discussed with peers at the same altitude.

What you leave with

A read on your own org from people with no stake in it, which is the one thing your leadership team cannot give you.

### Communication and Public Speaking

Who it is for

Leaders who want to be understood: on stage, in the all-hands, in the board update.

What a session looks like

You bring a real talk, a real update or a real announcement. The group listens, then tells you what actually landed.

What you leave with

A tighter version of the thing you were going to say anyway, and the practice reps that make the next one easier.

## How to get a _seat_ .

For yourself

Individually, circles run through the community. Start with free membership, tell us which circle fits, and you join the waiting list for the next opening.

[Start with free membership](https://www.engineeringleaders.io/partner/membership/free/)

For your company

As a company, buy seats through the Team package. It is priced per person from three seats up, and every seat carries one circle plus a secured seat at all 12 monthly meetups and the learning library for your whole company.

## Questions about _circles_ .

### How often does a circle meet?

Every two weeks, for a full year. The cadence is the product: a group that meets twice a month remembers your context, and a group that meets twice a year does not.

### Can two people from the same company sit in one circle?

We split them across different circles. The reason people say the uncomfortable thing out loud is that nobody in the room reports to them or sits in their leadership meeting.

### Is a circle the same as mentoring?

No. Mentoring is one senior person working on your situation with you. A circle is a group of peers at your level working on each other. Companies often buy both, and the Team package pairs a circle seat with two optional mentoring sessions a year with Marian.
