How we contract
Four outside reviewers checked ELC in September 2026 and all four asked the same question: who sends the invoice, and under what terms. This page is the answer. It applies to company memberships, partnerships and one-off reach items bought from Engineering Leaders Community s.r.o. Individual membership is free and has no terms beyond the Code of Conduct and the Privacy Policy.
Last updated 1 October 2026.
1. Who you contract with
Partnerships, company memberships, one-off reach items and community operations are invoiced by Engineering Leaders Community s.r.o., IČO 21848343, VAT CZ21848343, registered seat Varšavská 715/36, 120 00 Prague 2, Czech Republic. Owner and executive director: Marian Kamenistak.
Mentoring, the Academy and leadership programs are invoiced by Engineering Leaders Hub s.r.o., IČO 19181698, same owner and seat.
Placement fees from Marian's List, due only when someone you met through it starts at your company, are invoiced separately by Marians List s.r.o., IČO 23050471. Access to the list inside a company membership carries no placement fee by itself.
2. Prices and VAT
Every price on this site is in EUR and excludes VAT. Czech VAT applies to companies registered in the Czech Republic. For VAT-registered companies elsewhere in the EU the invoice carries the reverse charge; outside the EU no Czech VAT is charged.
The price you see on /partner/ or /reach/ when you send the inquiry is the price on the invoice.
3. When you pay
The six yearly packages are paid after the first meetup or session, so a company sees the quality before the yearly invoice exists. Visibility, Talent reach and Product start with a meetup that ELC runs end to end, free of charge: ELC covers the EUR 2,500 organisation fee; the company pays only food and drinks at cost, about EUR 1,500, and EUR 2,000 for a venue only if ELC has to rent one. The night brings 100+ registrations, speakers, newsletter, social media, pro videos and photos. Education, Vital and LinkedIn start with a first session and pay nothing in month one. Nothing is prepaid, so nothing is credited. If the first meetup or session convinced the company, ELC invoices the full year in one invoice, for example EUR 14,000 for Visibility. If not, the company pays only the catering of its meetup and walks away, nothing else.
For a package that starts with a meetup at your office, the first meetup is free of charge. ELC runs it end to end and covers the EUR 2,500 organisation fee. You pay food and drinks at cost, about EUR 1,500, invoiced at cost, and EUR 2,000 for a venue only if ELC has to rent one. Nothing is prepaid, so nothing is credited. The full year is one invoice, issued after the first meetup or session.
If the first meetup or session did not convince you, you pay only the catering of your meetup and walk away. No yearly invoice is issued.
Invoices are due 14 days from issue, by bank transfer in EUR.
4. Term and renewal
A yearly package runs 12 months from the first event or session. It does not renew by itself: before the year ends we ask whether you want year two, and the renewal is a new order at the then-current catalog price.
One-off items (a dedicated newsletter send, a hosted meetup, a webinar, a podcast kit) are single deliveries with a date agreed in writing. Moving a date is free once if you tell us at least 14 days ahead.
5. What you get, in writing
The itemized inquiry you send from the configurator, the chat or the MCP server, and our written confirmation of it by email, form the order. Every line item, its price and its date are in that document.
A signed agreement on paper and a data processing agreement are available on request before the first invoice. Procurement teams that need a vendor form, a VAT certificate or a registry extract get them from marian@engineeringleaders.io.
6. Attendee data and the room
A company that hosts or co-hosts a meetup receives the list of registered attendees before and after the event with name, company and role only, never email addresses or phone numbers. The list is for running the evening and following up with people who started the conversation. The Code of Conduct binds the host: no cold pitching, no marketing use, no uploading the list into a sales tool. Hiring introductions happen the ELC way: Marian and the team match people and companies on the spot, when both sides ask.
Members can opt out of being listed before any event. Details are in the Community members section of the Privacy Policy.
Nobody pitches from an ELC stage. A host's speaker passes the same bar as every other speaker and tells a real story; the audience knows the difference and so do we.
7. Cancellation and problems
If ELC cannot deliver a line item on the agreed date, you choose: a new date, a replacement item of equal price, or that item's price taken off the next invoice.
If you want to stop a yearly package after the first invoice, write to us. We settle the delivered items at catalog price and refund or cancel the rest. We would rather lose a year than keep an unhappy member company.
8. Law and contact
These terms and every order under them are governed by Czech law. Disputes go to the courts of Prague.
