A full room of engineering leaders seated for a talk at an ELC meetup hosted in a company office, a camera rig recording the stage

ELC hosted meetup

Host an engineering meetup. ELC runs the night.

Your speaker on stage, 120+ senior engineering leaders registered, and nobody on your side builds an event from zero. The topic, the speakers, the launch, the registrations, the host, the photos, the video and the follow-up are ELC’s job.

€3,000 when you host and cater at your office, €5,000 with a coworking venue ELC secures, ex VAT. Prices as of 20 October 2026. Every euro credited against a company membership signed within 90 days.

Three lines. No surprises after.

The same figures the reach menu shows. Paid up front, one invoice; every euro credited against a yearly partnership within 90 days.

€3,000

You host and cater at your office

The full organisation: topic, speakers, the launch, registrations, the night, photos, video, social, the close. Your room, your food and drinks.

+€2,000

ELC secures a coworking venue

No office that fits 120+ people, or a new city. ELC books one of the coworking spaces it already uses. €5,000 in total.

at cost

Catering arranged by ELC

If you would rather not run the food and drinks, ELC orders them and passes the invoice through at cost. About the price of a good lunch per head.

The point of the product: every euro is credited against a company membership signed within 90 days. A hosted meetup sits inside Talent reach at €14,000 a year and twice inside Visibility at €14,000; this page is the first one, bought alone.

What ELC runs, step for step

The same launch and close ELC runs for its own meetups, 23 steps before the night and 22 after. Nothing below is written for this page; it is what happens when the runner starts.

  1. 01

    The topic the room wants

Picked from the community vote and the ELC topic guide, not guessed. Your speaker gets the slot; ELC adds one or two coached speakers from its own pipeline next to them.

  2. 02

A launch timed to fill the room

Luma goes up private with the cap at twice the venue capacity. Members see it first; the public switch waits four days and opens on a weekday at noon. Meetup.com, LinkedIn, the member newsletter and the member Slack, each on its day.

  3. 03

Your speaker, announced like a headliner

Face, first name and your logo on Luma, Meetup.com, the ELC web card and the event page. A written coaching sheet, a joint speaker call, an optional dry run with the public speaking coach, slides locked 48 hours before.

  4. 04

    The night in three acts

Doors an hour early with the host in the crowd, a first-timer huddle, two talks with a break, Q&A, a quiz, the next-topic vote, then 75 minutes of networking with ELC Mate pairing strangers from different companies. An ELC host runs the clock so your people talk to guests.

  5. 05

Photos, video and the follow-up, by the day

Attendance counted from the door scans on D+1. Photos and the web recap on D+2, one email per attendee with the photos and slides, the speaker pack, the talk on YouTube with a 60-second clip, and a LinkedIn kit for your team. Names and companies of who came, no contact export.

A packed ELC meetup room, engineering leaders standing and seated for the talks, the full room a hosted meetup brings to a company office

The room, in numbers

Registrations, never a head count: check-ins come from the QR scan at the door and are lower. How the numbers are counted is public on the Meetup OS.

125

confirmed registrations per meetup, median

Range 86 to 237 across the public meetups #30 to #43, measured in Luma. The room, not demand, was the limit.

40+

meetups since 2019

Prague, Brno, Bratislava and Kraków. The same runner opens and closes every one of them.

3,300+

engineering leaders in the community

The audience is already there. Your meetup goes to them first.

Use it for

  • Show the engineering culture you want to hire into
  • Put your platform in front of the people who approve budgets
  • Open a new CEE office and meet the local leaders in one evening

One engineer with a story and no event to run? The speaker programme is the smaller door.

Questions about the hosted meetup

What do we need to bring?

A room for the registrations you expect, food and drinks, and one engineer with a real story. Two approvals on your side, one on the design and one on the invites. ELC does the rest, from the topic to the recap.

We have no office in the city. Can we still host?

Yes. ELC secures a coworking venue it already uses, €2,000 on top of the organisation fee, €5,000 in total. Catering arranged by ELC is invoiced at cost.

How does one meetup become a yearly partnership?

Every euro of the meetup is credited against a company membership signed within 90 days. Talent reach at €14,000 a year carries a hosted meetup plus the newsletter, the job board and priority intros curated by Marian; Visibility at €14,000 carries two. The one-off is the deposit, not a different product.

Can our sales team pitch from the stage?

No. Your engineer tells a real story and passes the same filter as every ELC speaker, whoever is paying. Nobody pitches from an ELC stage; that rule is why the room shows up.

How soon can it happen?

2 months from the call to the night. The launch runner starts 30 days before the date, and the topic and the speaker line-up need the month before that.

Pick a month. We fill the room.

Book a call, bring the room and the speaker. The date gets settled on the call; the itemised offer lands in your inbox the same day.
